Dr. Ahmed Bahaa El-Din Salem is an Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering and Mechanical Department Coordinator of the ABET accreditation committee at the Faculty of Engineering, Beirut Arab University. He holds a PhD from Alexandria University and has over 25 years of academic experience at Alexandria University, AASTMT, and BAU. His specialization is fluid mechanics and hydraulic machinery, and he contributes to program quality assurance and accreditation.

Pipeline leak detection, unsteady (transient) flow in pipelines, dynamic behavior of air valves, turbomachinery and pumps, mechanical seals, fluid power systems, CFD of hydraulic components, and renewable energy, including wind energy.
